NEW 300hr Yoga Teacher Training
September 2023 - August 2024
Making Yoga Functional, Therapeutic & Transformational.
There is an optimal way the human body was designed to function. Each joint and every muscle has a specific movement and purpose to support the movement of the body efficiently and effectively. When you start to study the human body’s design for movement you will soon learn the way you are teaching and/or doing yoga could be out dated.
This training starts at the Physical form. A place where we each of us will reside for possibly 80-100 years. We will look at, how were we designed to move before injury & surgeries, before trauma and accumulated stressors have altered our mental, emotional and physical well-being.
If you understand the optimal alignment then you can guide your students toward exploring the pose so it suits their body’s individual skeletal and muscular variations and compensation.
What is the function of the pose? What attachments are moving away from each to create a stretch or traction? If you do not understand this in every pose then you will teach the pose and use cues to fit people into shape. Break out of this pattern, move towards a wholistic approach and see your student as they are in this moment. This approach always your students to explore their body in a pose and not only get the most benefit out if but begin to build a relationship with themselves.
